Health insurance that meets Thai visa rules
We are not an insurer and do not sell policies. We check whether the policy you hold or plan to buy meets your visa's conditions, have the insurer complete the certificate, and add it to your visa file.
Send your policy for review on LINENon-Immigrant O-A retirement visa
- The Ministry of Foreign Affairs document list (17 March 2024) requires health insurance from a Thai or foreign insurer covering general illness including COVID-19, with a sum insured of at least THB 3,000,000 or USD 100,000.
- Attach the Foreign Insurance Certificate in the Office of Insurance Commission format, completed, signed and stamped by the insurer. Download it from longstay.tgia.org.
- The earlier 2019 standard (THB 40,000 outpatient, THB 400,000 inpatient) still appears on some embassy pages. Follow the list of the embassy or consulate where you actually apply.
- Cover must last for the whole stay in Thailand.
What we check
- Sum insured, period of cover, and name and date of birth matching your passport
- Pre-existing condition exclusions, which affect real claims even if the policy satisfies the visa
- A fully signed and stamped certificate before you apply or extend your stay
Frequently asked questions
Do other visas need insurance?
It depends on the visa type and the rules when you apply. LTR and some other visas have their own insurance conditions; we check against your embassy's current list.
Can I buy insurance from you?
No. We are not an insurance agent or broker. Buy from an insurer or agent licensed by the OIC, and we will review the documents.
